The early recordings of THORNS and their predecessor STIGMA DIABOLICUM belong to the most legendary and influential Norwegian black metal works of all time. This encompasses STIGMA DIABOLICUM’s "Luna De Nocturnus" demo (1991) and rehearsal tape as well the THORNS demos "Grymyrk" (1991) and "Trøndertun" (1992). Mastermind Snorre Ruch aka Blackthorn is widely credited as the original creator of the Nordic black metal guitar sound that in combination with the riffing and concepts of MAYHEM's Øystein "Euronymous" Aarseth laid the sonic foundation of the as famous as infamous Norwegian scene – and subsequently the global phenomenon that followed.

These most significant releases have previously been compiled by Kyrck Productions under the title of "Stigma Diabolicum" and physically released in 2007 and 2015. With the current range of reissues these historical recordings will finally receive the spotlight and appreciation they deserve. The pages of the premium 36-page artbook CD edition feature personal memories and notes written by the original band members, who tell stories and offer a fascinating glimpse into the times when black metal was reborn. It also includes a collection of rare photos capturing raw, behind-the-scenes moments, adding another layer to their intense, twisted creations. The artists reveal how they were different and why their legacy stands out. The new vinyl edition sees "Stigma Diabolicum" released on a 2LP for the very first time with all 15 tracks, which are 4 more than in the previous vinyl editions. In commemoration of exciting times gone by, "Stigma Diabolicum" is also reissued on MC format for the first time.

Their ninth full-length "Opus Daemoniacal" is black as a raven, fierce as a wolf, majestic as an eagle, and mighty as the legendary Norwegian black metal pioneers that mastermind, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist Vidar "Daemon" Jensen founded in 1993 have always been. "Opus Daemoniacal" continues along the more straightforward black metal path that the Norwegian has chosen for his last releases yet this album also deliberately harks back to the dense atmospheric and cinematic feel of LIMBONIC ART's groundbreaking early works. After having turned into a duo, the debut album "Moon in the Scorpio" was released in 1996 via Nocturnal Art Productions – the label of EMPEROR guitarist Samoth aka Tomas Thormodsæter Haugen. Their at the time quite unique combination of harsh Nordic black metal with cinematic elements inspired by romantic and classic orchestral music proved extremely influential in the following years. With their sophomore full-length "In Abhorrence Dementia" (1997) and the third album "Epitome of Illusions" (1998) LIMBONIC ART gradually reduced the symphonic elements of their sound. In February 2003, the duo broke up, but Daemon reformed the band in 2006. He continued to release the LIMBONIC ART albums "Phantasmagoria" (2010) and "Spectre Abysm" (2017). "Opus Daemoniacal" connects the present to the early sound of the Norwegian cult act, which is bound to appeal to friends of their first albums as well as to a new generation of classic Norse black metal connoisseurs.

Austria has spawned a very distinct black metal cult that has always been removed from its German and French neighbours. Spearheaded by individualist acts such as ABIGOR and SUMMONING, it was inevitable that the evolutionary tree of this scene would develop branches in exploration of new creative directions. AMESTIGON are so closely related to the two bands previously mentioned both in terms of their revolving members and in style that they have become regarded as bonded by blood. At the time of their founding in Vienna in 1993, vocalist and keyboard player Tharen, who sang on the 1993 ABIGOR demos and guitarist Thurisaz, who later became the frontman of ABIGOR, started the first band of their own. True to their original mission statement of making ground-breaking works from genre-shaping bands available again, Kyrck Productions & Armour is now presenting two early works of AMESTIGON for the first time on vinyl. "Mysterious Realms" features material from the 1996 split with ANGIZIA and the ltd. EP "Remembering Ancient Origins". The latter was released in 2000 and featured ABIGOR and SUMMONING vocalist Silenius.
